Privacy Policy

PositionPing ("the service") is operated by Brendan Barnett, Fallon, Nevada, USA. This policy describes what information the service collects, why, and what is done with it.
Information we collect
- Email address and password. Used to create and sign in to your account. Passwords are stored only as salted scrypt hashes — never in plain text.
- Mobile phone number (optional). Collected only if you enter it yourself on the Settings page, and used solely to send you the text-message alerts you asked for.
- Coinbase API credentials. The view-only API key you connect is stored encrypted at rest and used only to read your account's positions. The service never has the ability to trade, move, or withdraw funds.
- Position data. Snapshots of your open positions are stored so alert rules can be evaluated and history shown to you.
Text-message (SMS) program
- SMS alerts are strictly opt-in: you enable them by adding your mobile number on the Settings page after signing in. No one is ever enrolled automatically.
- Messages are account-notification alerts triggered by rules you create (for example, a position profit/loss threshold). Message frequency varies with the rules you set. Message and data rates may apply.
- You can opt out at any time by removing your phone number in Settings, or by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help, or email 97gmctruck@gmail.com.
- No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers and SMS opt-in status are never sold, rented, or shared for marketing. Text messages are delivered through Twilio, our SMS carrier, solely to transmit the alerts you requested.
What we don't do
- We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing.
- We do not use your data for advertising.
- We do not have — and cannot obtain — access to move funds in your Coinbase account.
Service providers
The service runs on Railway (hosting and database), sends email through Gmail SMTP, and sends text messages through Twilio. Each provider processes only the data needed to deliver its function.
Data retention and deletion
Your data is kept while your account is active. To delete your account and all associated data — including stored API keys and phone number — email 97gmctruck@gmail.com from your account's email address.
